Glass door have contrast markings. Interpretation available in Level 1 Braille translation and in large print. Visual stories are available to download on the website and there are paper copies at the front desk. Seating is available throughout the building. Sensory packs are available at the front desk. Due to the nature of the building, DIG can get very loud. A small number of ear defenders are available subject to availability, and a quiet space is available. During term time, afternoons after 3pm tend to be quieter as well as most weekends, especially in the morning. Outside of term time, Sunday mornings tend to be the quietest time. If you want to schedule a visit for a quieter time, contact the reservations team at groups@yorkat.co.uk.
